Save Money This Father’s Day | St. Johns Bank

Now that Mother’s Day has come and gone, it is time to start focusing on how you are going to be celebrating Dad on June 19.

Fortunately, our team at St. Johns Bank has some ideas on how you can celebrate Father’s Day this June without busting your budget!

Think Outside the Box

Before you run out to the mall to grab a tie or a set of golf clubs, consider doing something different this Father’s Day that fits within your budget or might even be something you can do or give for free!

One of the first things you want to consider is your father’s interests. Does your dad enjoy being outside? Then consider what things you could do with your father outside for Father’s Day.

For instance, if you want to spend time with your dad talking about his childhood and sharing some of your favorite memories with him, then consider going to the local park and making a picnic. Or you could go to his favorite place to eat and dine outside in order to enjoy a meal while also enjoying the sunshine.

If your dad enjoys staying at home, consider different things you could do together. For starters, you could make a puzzle together or even play your dad’s favorite board game.

You could also see what new movies are streaming and watch a movie your dad has been waiting to see or watch a classic he enjoys watching every time it comes on.

Another idea is to get out of town for a few days and enjoy a mini-vacation for just you and dad! You could go somewhere that has an amazing golf course if your dad enjoys golfing. Or you could take a tour around St. Louis if it has been a while since you have played tourist in your hometown.
